IntegraWater Madison County will be expanding the Wastewater Treatment Plant to ensure continued efficient and reliable service for our community. Construction is scheduled to begin on August 5th, 2024 and continue until at least October 2025.
Brier Creek and Creek Ridge will be the two most impacted subdivisions due to their proximity to the plant. The loudest, and most disruptive phase of construction is scheduled to begin after Labor Day and last for about a month. During this time, there will be significant noise and some ground vibrations due to driven piles. The construction company responsible for driven piles, Keller, has a helpful section on their website explaining the details. Keller has access to an extensive selection of pile sizes to ensure an optimum design solution and can draw on extensive experience and resources to ensure successful project delivery. They use the most up-to-date, enclosed hydraulic hammers, which minimize noise disturbance.
The preliminary project schedule can be found here. The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen delays, or inclement weather.
Construction activity will generate noise throughout the day on weekdays and Saturdays. This will include truck traffic, deliveries, and various construction processes like welding, hammering, and heavy equipment movement. In an effort to limit disruption, work will be performed primarily between 7:00am and 4:30pm on Weekdays, and Saturdays. The local Noise Ordinance that can be found here, allows for construction to continue until 9:00pm.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we complete this important project.
